Traditional Christmas march will go to the checkpoint
Candlelight procession from
Bethlehem to Jerusalem
Tomorrow, Tuesday December 25th - Christmas Day, over 100 foreign civilians,
from Britain, Denmark, France, Germany, Spain and the United States will
march with Palestinians in the traditional Christmas Day procession from
Shepard's Field in Beit Sahour to Bethlehem. A candlelight procession will
then be carried from the burnt Paradise Hotel in Bethlehem to Jerusalem.
Palestinians have been long denied access to Jerusalem and even from
traveling to and from their own cities, towns and villages freely, without
having to go through Israeli military checkpoints. In this holiday procession,
Palestinians and internationals will walk hand in hand from Bethlehem to
Jerusalem carrying a message of peace, justice and equality for all.
Meeting point will be 4:00pm at Shepherd's Field in Beit Sahour. Meeting
at Paradise Hotel at approximately 5:30pm. For more information, contact

Albin Kurti has
been released from Serbian prison on 7 December 2001,
but
201 Kosova-Albanian prisoners remain,
detained
in Serbia since June 1999.
"The worst thing has happened," Kurti told reporters on his release.
"I've been freed alone. My friends are still in prison in Serbia,"
he added after arriving by Red Cross jeep in the town of Merdare
on the Kosovo border.

Protest against the Serbian Christmas Celebration
among the Serbian leaders, when they let Kosovar hostage starve and
freeze in the Serbian prisons.
A 24-hour Hunger strike for the Kosovar hostige in Serbia will appear
at the day before the Serbian Christmas Eve the 6th of January 2002. Starting
12.00 at 5th of January all around Sweden and will end for some in front
of the Serbian Embassy 24 hours later.

Dear Ladies and Sirs,
Happy New Year! It's a simple wish. But for the 201 remaining Albanian
prisoners and their families in Kosova, even the simplest moments of happiness
are tainted with worry and fear.
We begin this year by reminding you of your legal duty. You are a co-signer
of the Geneva Conventions, the international protocols against torture,
and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, as well as participants
in the formation of UNMIK's jurisdiction over Kosovar citizens. Therefore,
you must ensure the return of these 201 individuals to Kosova. They are
ill. Wounded. Isolated. Falsely accused. They cannot be forgotten.
All administrative mechanisms are in place for this final transfer from
Serbia to Kosova. But it will not happen without your vocal, public support.
Serbia will not turn these political pawns over without consequences.
We urge you to publicly support the actions of the U.S. Senate and House.
Recent legislation (Dec. 21, 2001) states now that the U.S. has placed
conditions on the next release of funding to the FRY. These conditions
include cooperation with ICTY and the transfer or release of ALL 201 Albanians
still detained in Serbia by March 31, 2002.
