Dear Sirs,

An International Conference took place in London yesterday to discuss
the cancer epidemic in Iraq and demand the lifting of sanctions which
are affecting mainly Iraqi civilians and especially the children.

The conference was organised by Mariam Appeal group, named after Mariam
Hamza, a small Iraqi girl who was brought to London for treatment for
leukaemia, thanks to which she survived and still lives to day.

The conference was attended by several Iraqi doctors and scientists as
well as doctors and scientists from Germany and UK and a Gulf War
veteran.  The main topic of discussion was the use of Depleted Uranium
and the dangerous level of radiation it produces.  The cancers have
increased tenfold in Iraq and the deformities in children have trebled.

The contributors proved beyond doubt that the children and animals are
born horribly deformed in Iraq, Mexico, around Chernobyl and in Bosnia.
With the exception of Chernobyl, all other cases of cancer epidemic and
deformities at birth are as a direct result of the use of Depleted
Uranium bullets and Cruise Missiles and both have been used extensively
in Kosovo!

The radiation levels are eight times the norm in Bulgaria and a
monitoring station in Southern Greece is reporting increases in
radiation of 25% every time wind blows from Kosovo.

Whilst NATO still refuse to admit that Depleted Uranium ammunition is
deadly, they have now issued the peacekeeping troops in Kosovo
protective clothing and face masks.  Unfortunately, nothing has been
done to warn and protect the returning refugees.

It is estimated that over 10,000 people will die of radiation related
diseases and most of these innocent casualties will be in Kosovo.  This
is the war crime of the 20th Century and I would like you to know that
the British people are horrified with this revelation.  Clearly, our
government has acted in our name, but without our knowledge and
certainly without our approval.  Conventional ammunition and explosives
could have been used to achieve the same end result, without sentencing
two or three generations of people to an early grave, including our own
troops - protective clothing and mask will not help those who have
already inhaled Depleted Uranium dust!

I am sending you as an attachment a copy of the instruction leaflet
handed out at the conference and I hope that you will be able to
translate it into Albanian and distribute it in Kosovo and Albania.
Please do what you can to save those that can still be saved!
