morning. I have two things for you today: EU Member
State Ambassadors to Secondly, I
brought you some copies of the investment guide for Kosovo. This is
what it looks like. The guide is published by the Ministry of Trade and
Industry and the UNMIK EU Pillar. It has just been printed and copies
have already been distributed at the investors’ conference at the Grand
Hotel on Monday. As you see,
the guide is called Investing in Kosovo. It provides information on
Kosovo which is useful for potential investors. The guide
talks about the political structures in Kosovo, it mentions the fact
that Kosovo has the lowest taxes in the region and points out why the
tax system is business friendly. It clearly
refers to the advantages given to companies which in Kosovo manufacture
products destined for export. It also draws the attention to the recent
reduction of custom tariffs and the zero % VAT rate on inputs used in
agricultural production. It highlights Kosovo’s modern legal framework
and the banking system, and gives very practical information, such as
how to register a company and how long it takes to do that. In other
words, it says that Kosovo has a business friendly environment and
tells investors what the advantages are when they come and invest here. And finally
it contains a list of useful contacts in organisations
and institutions where potential investors can find more information. I have a
number of copies available for you. The first edition is running out
very quickly, but we are printing more copies. Thank you. |
