Kosovo & Metohia Events
Belgrade, August 21, 1999

The Albanian terrorists execute ethnic and spiritual genocide of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohia without any hindrance, before the very eyes of the international military forces. Today, the Albanians have attacked with arms the Serbs in many parts of the region: Kosovska Kamenica, Pristina, Zubin Potok, Banja and other places.

Jasmina and Slobodan Radulovic were hurt in Zubin Potok, when the bus (which was heading towards Kosovska Mitrovica accompanied by KFOR escort) was stoned. The other bus which was going in the opposite direction - from Kosovska Mitrovica to Zubin Potok - was also stoned.

This morning, around 7:30, the Albanian terrorist in Banja village, municipality of Srbica, have inflicted serious wounds to two Serbs - Milosav and Damnjan Kovacevic. The French soldiers have transported the wounded men into the military hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica. Their lives are vitally endangered. The fact that this case is the third case of attack of the Albanian terrorist in Banja since KFOR has arrived is very worrying. The French soldiers are situated in the very centre of Banja village, but in spite of that, the Serbs are not safe - these events plainly and evidently show that. There are 300 Serbs in Banja village now, but being protected by the international community in this manner, their survival is not certain. KFOR has been informed, it has been precisely advised, that the Albanian terrorists who wounded the two Serbs are in Suvo Grlo village, but KFOR has done nothing in connection with this. On the other side, we would like to remind that KFOR soldiers arrested four Serbs in Orahovac on Friday, on the basis of the Albanians' unsubstantiated accusations. Oppressed by fear because of the Albanian terrorist gangs, the Serbs from Banje village are not able to perform the basic agricultural works on which their lives depend. In the nearby Rudnik village (wherefrom all Serbs have been expelled, their homes destroyed, their church blown up with a mine) the terrorist organization, so-called KLA, has occupied the ex police station, and now the members of this organization move around in their uniforms and carry arms, passing by the French soldiers who do not prevent them from doing it.

On the other side, the Serbs in Orahovac, who have, up to now, alone protected their lives from the Albanian terrorists' attacks, have started today to hand over the last pieces of weapons to the Dutch soldiers, after the ultimatum presented by KFOR stating that those who do not do that, will be arrested…
