Kosovo&Metohia Events
Belgrade, August 26, 1999

The Serbs were again kidnapped and killed in Kosovo and Metohia yesterday. According to the report of the Church-National Council in Gnjilane, Slobodan Antic (aged 57) from Gornji Kosac village, and Zoran Stevanovic (aged 35) from Gnjilane were kidnapped three days ago in that town. A mass grave of the Serbs was discovered three days ago in Ugljare village, near Gnjilane. The Albanian extremists had kidnapped those people most probably on July 10. Thirteen corpses were transported into the mortuary of the Medical Centre in Gnjilane. Three corpses have been identified: Djordje Zdravkovic (aged 57), Zoran Zdravkovic (aged 95) and Dragan Tomic (aged 23). Yesterday, the Albanians attacked and beat Serbian shepherds in Pasjane village that is in the vicinity of the mentioned Ugljare village.

Three days ago, four Serbs (two from Laplje Selo and two from Gornja Brnjica) were beaten and kidnapped in Pristina: Miroslav Stevic, Zivorad Janicijevic, Stojan Djordjevic and Novica Djordjevic. Having been beaten up, the three of them managed to save their lives, but nothing has been known about Miroslav Stevic.
