15 FEBRUARY:
ISTOG: Januz Seferaj
(1939), a bill-collector at the District Financial Council, his sons
Shaban and Sabit, and his brother Feriz, principal
of the primary school in Uça - all from
Suhogërlla, were stopped at the police checkpoint
in Runik near Skënderaj. Januz and his
sons were subjected to physical ill- treatment
and suffered heavy injuries, while Feriz was
insulted. Januz was taken to the police station
and DM 490 were looted from him being
under the threats.
MITROVICA: Large police
forces, stationed near-by the bus station, stopped, checked
the identities of and ill-treated many passers-by
and all drivers.
SKëNDERAJ: Bekim
Spahiu and Fetah Sejdiu from Runik, Naim Hyseni from Kastriot
and Beqir Shala from Padalishta were stopped
and ill-treated at the police checkpoint in
Runik. Police stopped and ill-treated women and
men travelling by tractor and made them
turn back. Ibrahim Beka, an LDK activist, and
Sinan Latifi (70) - from Kllodernica, were
stopped, psychologically ill-treated and insulted
on a national and moral basis.
KLINA: Isa Sali Ibishi
(1966), owner of "Drilon" Trade Enterprise, was stopped and
physically ill-treatment at the police checkpoint
in Pogragja. Due to injuries suffered, he
was compelled to seek medical care.
16 FEBRUARY:
GLLOGOC: At the police
checkpoint in Komoran, police stopped, checked the identities
of and physically ill-treated:
Milot Nezaj from Skivjan near Gjakova,
a student of economics; Daut Xh. Bujupi (1981)
from Orllat, pupil of "Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu"
Gymnasium in Gllogoc (suffered injuries
on his head); Sefedin Salih Krasniqi (1972) from
Negroc (suffered injuries on his back,
shoulders and chest); Muhamet M. Vrellaku (1975),
a farmer from Baica because he did
not speak Serbian.
The following persons were subjected to
ill-treatment and due to injuries suffered, they
had to seek medical care:
Bekim Bogiqi (1973) from Vukofc; Rasim,
Skënder, Enver Kastrati and another person
from Petreshtica - due to the fact that they
travelled on the unpaved road. Police shot
towards them and their car remained on the road.
In Tërstenik, police provoked, insulted
on a national basis and physically ill-treated Isa A.
Dvorani (1971) from Tërstenik on the pretext
that he is one of the people stopping cars
during the night.
Avdyl T. Vrellaku from Baica was taken again
for "informative talks" on the case of killing of
Mustafë Kurti.
In Prishtina, police stopped, insulted and physically
ill-treated Naim Jahir Krasniqi (1975)
from Komoran.
PRISHTINA: On 12, 13
and 16 February, two policemen took Hamit Gashi (1949), a
jurist working at the National Bank, an LDK activist,
"Aktash" quarter A 2/K 8 no.70. He
was subjected to interrogation on his political
activity and the activity of the LDK.
In "Dardania" quarter, police physically ill-treated
Ahmet Ahmeti, chairman of the District
Educational Council in Klina, and Shaban Halimi,
chairman of the Information Commission
of the LDK branch in Shtime. They were ill-treated
due to the fact that they had reports of
KIC on them.
ISTOG: Avdullah Lubeniqi,
a teacher from Tomoc, was summoned for "informative
talks" at the police station in Gurrakoc.
SKëNDERAJ: Jashar
Durmishi from Rakinica, driver at the Humanitarian ë Charitable
Association "Mother Theresa" in Skënderaj,
was stopped at the police checkpoints in Klina
e Epërme and Runik, provoked and threatened.
Agron Draga, a pupil from Leçina, was
stopped and his identity was checked in Runik,
whereas he was subjected to physical ill-treatment
in Klina e Epërme.
MALISHEVA: In the outskirts
of Lubizhda, police took out of the bus and
psychologically ill-treated Cen Desku, member
of the Board of the LDK branch in
Malisheva, and Adem Kryeziu.
KAMENICA: In "Dardania"
quarter, two policemen stopped Florim Isufi (1972), a
teacher from Gjyrishec, and asked for weapons.
MITROVICA: At the cross-road
Skënderaj-Mitrovica-Peja, Serbian police stopped the
"Kosovatrans" bus, looted goods from passengers.
they took 180 kilos of beans estimated
to 2520 dinars from Shyqri Hajdar Sulejmani (40)
from the village of Kqiq.
In the outskirts of Gazivoda, police stopped
four buses of private enterprises in Kosova
and looted goods from the passengers. They looted
goods estimated to DM 3000 from the
passengers of the bus of "Rimi Tours", owned
by Remzi Qismalli from Mitrovica, and
goods estimated to DM 700 from Haki Ramë
Hoti (35) from Mitrovica.
KLINA: Bullets of different
calibres were shot towards the houses of Avdyl and Fazli
Morina in the Çupevaj quarter. No one
claimed responsibility for the attack, but the police
collected cartridges the next day.
FERIZAJ: Police searched
for brothers Isuf (40) and Ibush Thaçi (36), "28 Nëntori" st.,
for the third time.
17 FEBRUARY:
KLINA: Last night from
10.30 p.m., until 1 after midnight, at the police checkpoint at
cross-road Klina-Ujmir-Skënderaj, random
shots and blasts of lighting rockets were heard.
Police ordered the natives to turn off the lights.
Today, large police forces arrived at this
checkpoint. They ill-treated citizens, overviewed
the surrounding and collected the
cartridges.
Today, at about 10.15,
in downtown Klina, three Serbian inspectors stopped, arrested,
tied up and interrogated Bajram Sahit Tovërlani
(1945), a pensioner from Klina, "R.
Sadiku" st.; his son Ardian (1976), unemployed;
their neighbour Ilir Kadri Desku (1966)
from Klinavc. Bajram was taken to the police
station in Klina and after 6 hours, all of them
were released.
At the police checkpoint
in Pogragja, police stopped and physically ill-treated the
following persons: Ismet Prekadini (1959) from
Jashanica e Poshtme, worker at
"Malishgan" Agricultural Combine in Jashanica
(suffered heavy injuries and sought
medical care); Adnan Bajraktari (1980) from Jashanica,
a pupil of "Luigj Gurakuqi"
Secondary School in Klina (because he did not
speak Serbian); Ferat Tafilaj (1968), a
technician from Shtarica.
At a "barricade" in the Gjuricic quarter in Dollova,
some armed Serbian civilians stopped
their fellow-villagers Amrush, Mehmet and Mustafë
Morina.
DEÇAN: Some uniformed
policemen and two plainclothed policemen interfered in the
office of the Sub-CDHRF in Deçan. At the
police checkpoint in Komoran near Gllogoc,
police stopped the bus of "Monika" Travel Agency,
checked the identities of the
passengers and physically ill-treated Imer Mushkolaj
(1977), a student of Arts, who
suffered heavy injuries. Despite the medical
care, he is in a very deteriorated condition.
MITROVICA: Mentor Rrahim
Shala (19) from Bare, an asylum-seeker repatriated from
Germany, was stopped by the police at the Prishtina
airport on 14 February. He is still kept
in Belgrade and he is to be sent back to Germany.
At the police checkpoint in Klina e Epërme
near Skënderaj, at the cross-road Peja-
Skënderaj-Mitrovica, police stopped the
bus of "Kosovatrans" from Mitrovica. They
checked the identity of and threatened Halit
Rushit Barani (46), "Tavnik" quarter, chairman
of the Sub-CDHRF in Mitrovica, and Sabit Osman
Kurteshi (45) from Vinarca.
Four lorries of Serbian
army paraded through the town and went towards Skënderaj.
Six policemen in two cars went to the house of
Zeqë Bilalli (48), "Tavnik" quarter and
searched for his son Bilall (15).
Policemen searched for weapons at the house of
Vehbi Avdi Fazliu, a former guardian in
prison. He was ordered to report to the police
station on 22 February.
PRISHTINA: Large police
forces interfered in the house of Mon Duraku (28), a baker,
owner of "Pashtriku" bakery, "Milladin Popovic",
under the pretext of searching a person
called Azem. Policemen arrested Mon and his brother
Bujar (19), who are still in detention.
SKëNDERAJ: The
last two days, four vehicles with uniformed and masked Serbian
citizens went towards Peja and Gllogoc.
At the police checkpoint
in Runik, police stopped, physically ill-treated and threatened
teachers Skënder and Sefer Spahiu from Kastriot.
Physicians dr. Liri Loshi and dr. Xhavit Draga
were stopped and threatened "that they were
taking care of the members of the KLA" and that
"they and their families would be
liquidated if it happens to be true".
In Jashanica, police took Naim B. Gaxhiqi (1973)
from Murga out of the bus and severely
ill-treated him.
MALISHEVA: Local policemen
of Gllogoc raided the house of Kadri Halit Krasniqi (53)
and arrested him.
The very same policemen chased Mehmet Rrustem
Krasniqi and made two passers-by lie
on the mud.
PRIZREN: In the vicinity
of the bus station, two policemen stopped and checked the
identity of Bashkim Hoxha (1973), a farmer from
Randobrava. They looted DM 500 from
him and ordered him "to run away as soon as possible,
otherwise ".
GJAKOVA: Shkëlzen
Bajram Jaha, unemployed from Babaj i Bokës, was taken for
"informative talks", threatened, physically ill-treated
and ordered to report again to the
police station. Due to injuries suffered, he
had to seek medical care. Bajram, Shkëlzen's
father, and his brother Sahit had been ill-treated
on the same pretext.
GLLOGOC: The day of
Avdullah B. Nika's burial, a Serbian civilian, who is thought to
be a law enforcement authority, shot several
times in the vicinity of the house of Hajriz
Sherif Morina, father of martyr Enver Morina.
18 FEBRUARY:
VITIA: Refik Ahmeti (1956),
an economist, a former chairman of the District Assembly;
Kadrush Neziri (1944) from Goshica, living in
Vitia, a clerk at the District Educational
Council; Zaim Zejnullahu, were summoned to the
Serbian Run District Court in Vitia under
the charges "call for resistance", article 126
Penal Code of Serbia.
VUSHTRRI: A column of
Serbian army was stationed in Pantina at 7.30 a.m.
At the police checkpoint in Nedakoc, police stopped
and ill-treated many citizens.
In the late hours, police with the lights off
went to Sfarqak village.
MITROVICA: In the vicinity
of the bus station, two policemen, one of them called Teofil,
stopped and checked the identities of Isa Halil
Hyseni (64) and his son Blerim (22) from
Suma near Vushtrri. They were taken to the police
station, interrogated and threatened.
Large police forces of 20 lorries, 5 cannons
and an antiaircraft cannon were stationed at
the village of Frashër. Reservist soldiers
have been preventing the natives from passing
by.
PEJA: About 10 lorries
and other military vehicles of soldiers paraded towards Peja-
Poçesta-Kërstoc.
The authorities at the Security Centre in Peja
refused to issue the passport to Mehmet
Haskaj from Peja even though he had the documents
in order.
GLLOGOC: Beqir A. Jashari
(1978) and Gazmend Isufi (1977) - from Çikatova e Re
were stopped and severely ill-treated at the
police checkpoint in Komoran. Due to injuries
suffered, they had to seek medical care. Police
looted DM 1000 from Beqir and DM 200
from Gazmend.
KLINA: Police vehicles
paraded from Klina towards Skënderaj during the night. A
column of 10 military lorries passed through
Lug i Leshanit, Poterç i Epërm and Budisalc.
At the police checkpoint
in Pogragja, the following pupils of "Luigj Gurakuqi" Secondary
School in Klina were subjected to physical ill-treatment:
Blerim Danush Veseli (1981) from Kërrnica,
Lutfi Bajram Bajraktari (1979), Bahri Halim
Bajraktari (1979) and Sefer Miftar Shlivova (1971)
- the three from Jashanica and Arben
Hoti (18) from Jashanica e Poshtme. Sefer Miftar
Shlivova was taken to the police station
in Klina and was subjected to physical ill-treatment
until 10 p.m. under the charges of
"supplying the KLA with food provision". He was
released on the condition to bring in his
brother Ylber (16) and his cousin Dema (19).
Due to injuries suffered, he had to seek
medical care.
SKëNDERAJ: Enver
Kadriu from Prekaz i Poshtëm, who was detained in Jashanica on
16 February, was released today. He stated that
at the police station in Klina, in Prishtina
and in Mitrovica, he had been subjected to interrogation
on the situation in Drenica and the
KLA. He was also subjected to physical ill-treatment.
Moma Pelevic, chief-inspector at the
Security Centre in Skënderaj, interrogated
him in Prishtina.
LIPJAN: Large police
forces stopped and checked the identities of the passers-by in
Shala until the evening hours.
FERIZAJ: Enver B. Veliu
from Prelez, an asylum-seeker repatriated from Germany was
summoned twice and was ordered to report again
on 23 February.
Isak Halit Berisha (1946) from Softaj was summoned
for weapons at the police station. He
was subjected to physical ill-treatment and was
ordered to report again on 20 February.
19 FEBRUARY:
PODUJEVA: At about 3.30
p.m., in the vicinity of the way Podujeva-Prishtina, between
the villages Shakovica-Lupë i Poshtëm,
unidentified persons shot the police vehicle, killed
the police inspector Nebojsha Cvejic and damaged
other vehicles. Police came on the
spot and prevented the traffic. Then, a helicopter
and some police armoured cars came to
the spot.
In Tërrnava, police
shot bullets towards the house of Xhevat Raçi and damaged the
wall of the house.
At about 4.30 p.m.,
in the vicinity of the History Archives, where Serbian refugees from
Croatia live, a blast was heard and police blocked
this part of the town shortly after.
Random shots were heard at about 6 p.m., at the
police checkpoint in Besiana in the
outskirts of Podujeva; at about 7 p.m., in the
vicinity of the house of a Serb in Obrança; at
about 7.15 p.m. in Dumnica. During the night,
police paraded through the streets of the
town and the surrounding.
PRISHTINA: Over 50 policemen
blocked the quarter Brajshori in Sharban i Gallapit in
the district of Prishtina. Policemen went into
the house of Sadri Brajshori and ill-treated
Sadri, his sons Sheqir, Beqir, Jahir, Tahir,
his daughter Hafize and his guests Muharrem
and Nezir Sfishta. Other family members, women
and children were forced to lie down.
Police arrested Sadri, Beqir, Jahir, Sadri's
nephew Behxhet Brajshori, Muharrem and Nezir
Sfishta from Sharban. Later on, Sheqir and his
brothers were duly released.
GLLOGOC: At the police
checkpoint in Komoran, police stopped, checked the identity
of, insulted and threatened Ramiz Krasniqi (1965)
from Komoran, an engineer and a
teacher at "Leonik Tomeu" Technical School in
Komoran. Bajram Latifi (1968) from
Fushtica e Epërme and Agron H. Kastrati
(1979) from Kishnareka were stopped and
physically ill-treated. Agron was taken to the
police station in Gllogoc and was beaten up
for 8 hours. Then, he was taken back to Komoran
and pushed out of the car, due to what
he suffered injuries on his head and other parts
of his body.
SKëNDERAJ: In Skënderaj
and villages northern to Skënderaj, masked policemen and
pre-military forces came from Mitrovica.
At the agricultural airport in Morina, at about
11 p.m., 4 jeeps and 2 vehilces of Serbian
forces were situated and left before dawn.
At the police checkpoint in Klina e Epërme,
police have been transporting sand and
preventing villagers from getting out and entering
their houses.
Moves of Serbs collaborating with police have
notably increased.
In nearby woods, police arrested Shaban Azem
Shabani (1968) from Vojnik.
FUSHë-KOSOVA: Policeman
called Cedomir from Bresaj stopped his neighbour
Florent Rizah Salihu (1980), a pupil of "Sami
Frashëri" High School in Prishtina, and
physically ill-treated and insulted him. Due
to injuries suffered on his head and other parts
of his body, Florent had to seek medical care.
LIPJAN: Large police
forces paraded through Baica stopping, checking the identities of
and ill-treating Albanian citizens.
MITROVICA: Skënder
Miran Sahiti (40) from Gushavc was arrested and sent to serve
his sentence of a term of 3 years imprisonment
for being in possession of weapon without
permit.
At the police checkpoint in Nedakoc near Vushtrri,
police stopped Xhevdet Sinan Tahiri
and looted 65 kilos of oranges, 15 kilos of bananas
and peppers.
KLINA: At the police
checkpoint in Kijeva, police stopped and physically ill-treated
Rasim Adem Mulaj (1963) and Avdullah Feriz Mulaj
(1974) - both from Jashanica.
At the police checkpoint in Pogragja, Rifat Selim
Qupeva (1953) from Qupeva near
Pogragja was subjected to physical ill-treatment.
Due to injuries suffered, Rifat had to seek
medical care.
In the vicinity of the church in Dollc, a group
of masked policemen stopped the bus. They
took Osman Adem Raci (1974) from Siçerva
out of the bus, and beat him up severely in
the nearest woods.
At the police checkpoint in Dollc, police stopped
vehicles, ill-treated and fined drivers.
Sokol Maxharraj (1956) from Remnik, a techer
at "Azem Bejta" Primary School in
Grabanica, was subjected to physical ill-treatment
at the police checkpoint in Dollc.
20 FEBRUARY:
SKëNDERAJ: The dead
body of Murat Smail Dajaku (1960) from Rakinica, a farmer,
father of 4, was brought by a Serbian speaking
person, who was driving a lorry, to Health
Care at about 1.45 p.m. The late's brother Rrustem
stated that he had left Murat at the bus
station in Rakinica an hour and a quarter before.
The deceased had been on his way to
Skënderaj to buy tractor spare parts. Murat's
father Smail stated that he is convinced that
"Murat was killed by people in the lorry, which
had been parked in front of the police station
in Skënderaj for 30 minutes". According
to the physician statement, he had three wounds
on the left side of the chest.
KLINA: "Zdravko
Gjurishic from Rahovec and Mile Petrovic from Gjakova were seen
wounded" at the Health Care in the evening hours.
It seems that they got wounded in the
lorry of "Orvin" Plant in Rahovec, which had
been subject of attack.
Meanwhile, Beqir Geci
from Llausha near Skënderaj, living in Klina was arrested on
unknown pretext at 2.30 p.m. and taken to the
Security Centre in Peja.
At about 5 p.m., police arrested Destan S. Selimi
(60) from Açareva near Skënderaj; Miftar
S. Mulaj (75), imam at Jashanica mosque; Kastriot
S. Desku from Klina and Vesel
Tërdevaj from Kërrnica. Miftar and
Vesel were released. Vesel stated that while at the
police station, he had seen Destan tied up to
the radiator and Kastriot severely beaten up.
Zharko Stojanovic, a security inspector, was
seen in the wheelchair of Destan.
MALISHEVA: After 10
p.m., in the quarter where some Serbian families and Albanian
family Bacaliu in Kijeva, random shots were heard.
This served as pretext for the arrest of
Salih Bacaliu, who was subjected to physical
ill-treatment in order to "tell who had attacked
Serbian families".
At the police checkpoint in Kijeva, Hasan, Nysret
and Nebih Topllana, teachers at "Adem
Bajrami" Primary School, were subjected to physical
ill-treatment for not hailing the
policemen.
PRISHTINA: At about
9 a.m., police stopped Arbën Shabani (1976) from Dashefc near
Skënderaj, a student of economics, tore
his books and index and looted DM 50 from him.
They asked him ironically "whether uncle Kinkel
had sent them to him". Having ill-ill-treated
and provoked him, police beat him up. Due to
injuries suffered, he had to seek medical
care.
Jakup Gashi (1940) from Mramor, living in Prishtina,
"Kasollat" st.160, stated that a
policeman and a Serbian civilian had searched
for his son Ibush, a student, who has been
living abroad for six years.
GJILAN: Sherif Salihu
from Pogragja, cashier at "Liria" Primary School and an LDK
activist, was summoned for "informative talks"
on the preparations for parliamentary
elections in Kosova, the activity of the KLA
in the region of Gjilan, etc.
GJAKOVA: Nexhat Syla
(1960, Gjakova), an economist, was taken for "informative
talks" and subjected to ill-treatment. After
that, his house was raided.
21 FEBRUARY:
GLLOGOC: At the police
checkpoint in Kijeva near Malisheva, police took Ismet
Xhinofci (1959), a jurist from Makërmal,
out of the bus and physically ill-treated due to the
fact that he was from the district of Skënderaj.
Due to injuries suffered, he had to seek
medical care.
GJAKOVA: At about 7
a.m., in the village of Gramaçel near Deçan, large police
forces
surrounded and raided the house of Ali Avdiaj.
They brought his son Muhamet, whom they
had arrested a day before. While raiding the
house, police kept Muhamet tied up in the
presence of the family members.
SKëNDERAJ: At about
1 p.m., from the tower of Ammunition Plant in Skënderaj, sniper
bullets were shot towards Hamzë Shaban Jashari
(1952), father of nine, in Prekaz i
Poshtëm. The "target" was missed and bullets
hit the wall.
DEÇAN: Serbian
police searched for weapons at the house of Isa Kadri Hasaj (65)
from Kodralia and searched for his son Florim
(18), a pupil, who is currently living in
Germany. While raiding, police demolished the
furniture, physically ill-treated and arrested
Florim's brother Mehmet (24).
22 FEBRUARY:
KLINA: Albanian daily
"Koha Ditore" reports that, on 22 February, at about 5.50 p.m.,
Ali Azem Raci (36) from Siqeva e Poshtme, a guardian
of this Cooperative, was killed in
front of the "Ujçmiri" Agricultural Cooperative
in Ujçmir. The motives and the perpetrators
are unknown yet.
DELAYED INFORMATION:
PRIZREN: On 27 January,
Xhemil Fejzë Krasniqi, "Ramiz Sadiku" st., was taken for
"informative talks" on weapons at the police
station.
Five policemen searched for Xhemshit Rizan Krasniqi,
"Ramiz Sadiku" st., a former
political prisoner, and threatened his father
Rizan to raid his father unless Xhemshit reports
to the police station.
PODUJEVA: On 1 February,
police searched for weapons from Rifat Murati from
Popova and left a summon to Qerim Rexha from
Popova to report to the police station in
Podujeva on 5 February.
KLINA: On 5 February,
at the police checkpoint in Kijeva, the following persons were
stopped, insulted, severely ill-treated and suffered
injuries:
Rrustem Tafë Bojaj (1948), a plumber
from Klinavc; Nikollë Shala from Klina, from police
looted DM 50; Haki Isni Gashi from Çabiq
and Habib Kryeziu from Bubavec near
Malisheva. The very same persons were subjected
to ill-treatment at the police checkpoint
in Dollc near Klina.
On 6 February, Aziz Limanaj (1967) from Cerovik,
was stopped and physically ill-treated at
the police checkpoint in Kijeva. Police kept
Aziz tied up to an electric pillar interrogating
him on the KLA for about an hour.
On 12 February, at the police checkpoint in Komoran,
police stopped the bus and took out
Shefqet Mehmet Zenelaj (1976) from Dërsnik
and physically ill-treated him.
On 13 February, Serbian armed soldiers and 12
tanks were transported by train travelling
in the direction Fushë Kosova-Klina-Peja.
On 14 February, police situated a checkpoint
in the Çupeva quarter in Pogragja, at the
crossroad Klina-Skënderaj. About 30 policemen
accompanied by 2 armoured cars and
some vehicles, stopped, checked the identities
of passers-by and raided cars.
Din Z. Mehmetaj (1943) from Cerovik was stopped
and severely ill-treated at the police
checkpoint in Komoran.
MALISHEVA: On 10 February,
Fahrush Hasan Krasniqi from Drenoc was subjected to
ill-treatment at the police checkpoint in Kijeva
on the pretext that his hand was hurt while
training as a member of the KLA.
On 14 February, at the police checkpoint in Komoran,
Shaban R. Gashi and Nuhi Gashi
from Pllaçica were stopped. Nuhi was ill-treated
psychologically, whereas Shaban suffered
heavy injuries on his head and other parts of
his body due to physical ill-treatment.
FERIZAJ: On 10, 11 and
13 February, brothers Murat (1924), Bajram (1945), Miftar
(1950) and Muharrem (1948) Shabani from Manastirc
were summoned for weapons.
On 12 February, the following persons, chairmen
of the LDK sub-branches in the district of
Shtërpca, were summoned for "informative

Nebih Aliu (Bitija), Rafiz Bajrami (Brod),
Gafurr Halili (Viça-Kashanjeva) and Halil Miftari
(Firaja), as well as Liman Rexhepi, member of
the Board of the LDK sub-branch in
Shtërpca. All of them were questioned on
the forthcoming parliamentary elections, while
Rafiz was also questioned on weapons.
On 13 February, Afrim Hysen Xhafaj from Mirash
was arrested and taken to serve his
prison term of 30 days for being in possession
of weapon without permit.
DEÇAN: On 11
February, Zymer Halit Ukaj (1963), member of the Board of the PPK
branch in Deçan, was stopped and physically
ill-treated at the police checkpoint in Kijeva
near Malisheva.
On 14 February, at the police checkpoint in Komoran,
police stopped the bus of "Gazi
Turist" from Gjakova, checked the identities
of the passengers and physically ill-treated
Blerim Kadri Ramosaj (1976), a student from Carrabreg
i Poshtëm near Deçan.
KAMENICA: On 12 February,
two Serbian civilians, introducing themselves as Security
inspectors, stopped and checked the identity
of Florim Isufi (1972), a history teacher from
Gjyrishec.
GLLOGOC: On 12 February,
Fejzë Ilaz Lika (1976) and Avdyl Sahit Lika (1965) from
Sankoc, were subjected to physical ill-treatment
at the police checkpoint in Komoran. At
the same place, police stopped the bus "Shehu"
travelling from Malisheva to Prishtina,
checked the identities of the passengers and
took out Gani Kastrati (1973) from Nekoc.
Gani was subjected to insults and severe physical
ill-treatment.
On 14 February, at the crossroad in Komoran,
police ill-treated Abedin S. Thaçi (1969), a
farmer from Komoran, accusing him for "purchasing
food for the KLA".
SKëNDERAJ: On 12
February, an armed Serbian citizen from Leçina paraded through
the village shooting and threatening children.
On 14 February, in the outskirts of Peja, police
stoped the bus, took out the passengers
from Skënderaj, provoked and threatened
them. Bali Bejta (71) from Prekaz i Poshtëm
was subjected to psychological ill-treatment
and interrogation.
PEJA: On 13 February,
Bitër Prekaj (35) from Gllaviçica, an LDK activist, was
summoned for interrogation on the political activity
in the village and the elections of 22
March.
Enver Ali Shabani (1969) from Svërka was
summoned for "informative talks" on the
political activity in the village and the KLA.
Enver was threatened to be summoned again.
Police took Skënder S. Krasniqi (1962) and
Nazmi S. Krasniqi (1955) from Qallapek, LDK
activists, to the Security Centre in Peja, where
they were interrogated on their political
activities and the KLA.
ISTOG: On 14 February,
in Gurrakoc, Serbian authorities set up a police checkpoint,
where passers-by and vehicles have been stopped
and almost everybody must go
through song and dance.
