MAY 3:
RAHOVEC: After the protest walks in Prizren, Xhabir
Abazibra from Rahovec was severely
ill-treated. He was insulted on a national basis.
PODUJEVA: Police surveyed the area in the vicinity
of the forests of Lapashtica and
Popova. Police forces were stationed in the vicinity
of the "Besiana" motel. Shooting was
heard from here. All traffic on the road from
Prishtina to Nish was stopped. An armored car
left the village of Lluzhan and paraded through
the roads of the town.
MITROVICA: Serbian civilians provoked Albanian
protestors. Many citizens were
threatened by the police.
Police seized the ID's of Hasan Bajram Bajraktari
(23), Afrim Muhamet Bajraktari (20) and
Xhevdet Sadri Ceroviku (23). They were ordered
to report to the police station.
Smajl Sheremet Selimi (40) from Shipol was physically
ill-treated at the police check-point
in Nedakoc.
Rrustem Reci was ill-treated at the check-point
in Shipol.
PRISHTINA: Police searched for Avni Bajqinovci
(1963), a technician from the village of
Bellaqevc, living in "Bregu i Diellit" quarter,
I/10. Avni has been living abroad for more than
4 years.
PEJA: Policemen in the village of Raushiq stopped
Jahir U. Dreshaj, a teacher from Vrella,
and Nezir Krasniqi from Turjaka. The two were
physically ill-treated in the presence of
family members.
MAY 4:
PODUJEVA: A group of 15 policemen raided the houses
of Selman Mehana from
Podujeva and Kamber Avdiu from Dobratin.
Selman Mehana, Hilmi Kamber Avdiu and Ahmet Latifi,
a bill collector of the Financing
District Council, were arrested and physically
ill-treated.
Police raided the house of Shashivar J. Jashari
in the village of Lumëmadh. He was
arrested and physically ill-treated. Later on,
Shashivar was released. The others are still in
detention.
MITROVICA: 6 military jeeps left Mitrovica and
headed for Zubin Potok.
The Serbian neighbors of Bashkim Xhemë Kabashi
(33), broke the window panes in his
house in "Kroi i Vitakut" quarter.
VUSHTRRI: Ramadan Aliu from Strofc and Naim Shuti
from Oshlan were arrested and
physically ill-treated. In the police station,
they were interrogated on the KLA and Drenica.
Ismet Hysen Maxhuni (36) was arrested by 3 policemen
and sent to serve a prison term of
30 days for illegal arm-possession.
LIPJAN: 15 policemen searched for weapons in
the house of Vesel Bytyçi in the village of
Okllap.
Muharrem Tërpeza (1941) from Ribar i Madh,
was physically ill-treated by Milivoje
Raduloviq, the principal of the "Montazh Kosmet"
enterprise. He was insulted on a national
basis.
FUSHë KOSOVA: Ramë Selimi, an activist
of the LDK, was summoned for informative
talks regarding weapons. He was ordered not to
leave his house.
PRIZREN: Fevzi Morina (1980) from Ratkoc and
Qemal Thaçi (1979) from Rahovec,
pupils with the "Luçiano Motroni" Secondary
School, were severely ill-treated by 2
policemen. Qemajl suffered injuries on his ear
and had internal bleeding. Due to injuries
suffered he presented the medical report.
3 policemen severely ill-treated Albert Krasniqi
(1979), a pupil with the "Gani
Çavdërbasha" Secondary School, living
in "1 Maji" st. 46. He suffered injuries on his head
and feet.
After the protest walks in Prizren, in the vicinity
of the "Shën Premta" church, Sinan
Mazreku from Dushanova and Avdi Qepërleku,
"Ulqini" st., were physically ill-treated.
KAÇANIK: Some 20 policemen were stationed
in the outskirts of Begraca. Policemen are
checking the identities of passers-by. Besim
Sinan Luzha was physically ill-treated.
FERIZAJ: In the Llugaj quarter in Komogllava,
2 police vehicles and one armored car were
stationed. Villagers are provoked.
Zymer Asllani from the village of Jezerc, living
in Ferizaj, was physically ill-treated by 2
policemen. He was threatened with a gun.
2 policemen intervened in the pool house in the
ownership of Ali Shuqeri Rrahmani from
Komogllava. He was physically ill-treated.
VITI: Besim Bislimi (1975) was attacked by 2
unidentified persons. The attackers spoke
Serbian. He was hit on his back and while unconscious
forced into a car. He was taken
towards the village of Gërmova, but managed
to escape.
MAY 5:
FERIZAJ: 20 armed policemen paraded through the
Ademaj quarter in the village of
Komogllava.
3 inhabitants of the Ademaj quarter were interrogated
at the police check-point in Gërlica.
In the district Court in Ferizaj, the investigating
process against Ibush Ademi from Ferizaj,
a bill collector with the Financing District
Council, and Muharrem Çerkini from Zaskok, a
clerk with the local primary school, was initiated.
Rrahim Kryeziu from the village of Sazli was
taken for weapons to the police station in
Babush. He was physically ill-treated.
2 police inspectors searched for Fadil Xhemajl
Sylejmani and Fatmir Sylejmani, activists of
the LDK.
SUHAREKA: In the early hours of the morning,
large police forces accompanied by 2
armored cars and several APCs were stationed
in "Qafa e Duhlës" in the vicinity of
Grajçevc.
Some 30 policemen were stationed in Duhla. They
are ill-treating passers-by.
Mergim R. Bujari was beaten-up in the vicinity
of his house. He suffered severe injuries.
The very same happened to Beqir H. Bajraktari,
who suffers from a chronic heart illness,
Ilmi Bllaca, Ibrahim Frangu, Rexhep Iballi (75),
Bekim Pirku, Muhadin Suka (75), Qazim
Suka (65) and Ahmet Suka - all from Bllaca.
Police stopped the bus travelling from Bllaca
to Suhareka and prevented the classes in the
primary school in Duhla.
Police damaged Ragip Zekolli's ID. Zekolli, chairman
of the Educational District Council
and secretary of the LDK branch, was threatened.
Haxhi Sertolli, owner of the "Didi Tours" travel
agency, and 15 passengers travelling from
Malisheva to Suhareka, were physically ill-treated
by the police.
Haxhi (1975) and Zenel Elshani (1980) from the
village of Ngucat were physically ill-treated
at the police check-point in the Carraleva Gorge.
PRIZREN: On May 4, Afrim Krasniqi (1979) and
Mentor Bajram Paçarizi (1980), pupils
from Pagarusha, were arrested.
On May 5, Milaim Berisha (1979) from the village
of Gurbardh, a student with the "Xhevdet
Doda" Pedagogical High School in Prizren was
arrested. The three were interrogated on
the KLA and on the protests in Prizren. On being
physically ill-treated they were released.
Police searched for Sedat Bajrami, a teacher
with the "Mushnikova" Primary School. His
house was raided and he was arrested.
In the evening, large police and military forces
were noticed in the village of Pirana.
MITROVICA: Shemsedin Osman Haziri (18), a pupil
with the "Frang Bardhi" Gymnasium,
and Jeton Emin Haziri (18), a pupil with the
"Hasan Prishtina" Secondary School in
Broboniq were physically ill-treated at the police
check-point in Shipol.
Large police forces blocked the Mitrovica hospital.
The ID's of Shukri Shaqir Seferi (22), living
in the "Kroi i Vitakut" quarter, and Afrim Jusuf
Gashi (23), living in the "Bair" quarter, were
seized by the police. The 2 were threatened.
PRISHTINA: Large police forces accompanied with
2 armored cars were stationed
between the villages of Unitet and Lebanë.
These forces surveyed the terrain, physically
ill-treated many passengers travelling to Podujeva
and fined many bus owners.
Policemen besieged the house of Hasan Shala in
the village of Unitet.
4 trucks full of soldiers and many vehicles with
artillery paraded through Lebanë and were
stationed on the hills between these villages.
RAHOVEC: 2 armored cars and 2 APCs stopped on
the cross-road between Sopniq and
Potoçan. They surveyed the terrain.
Some 20 policemen, in a show of force, paraded
through the center of Zoqishta.
MALISHEVA: Haxhi Ukë Elashani, Zenel Selim
Elshani, Baki Sefer Shala and Remzi Bahti
Gashi from the village of Ngucat as well as Ali
Hazrolli, Driton and Ekrem Shurdhaj from
Banja were stopped at the cross-road in Duhla
and were physically ill-treated. Police
seized a car radio from Haxhi.
PODUJEVA: After the shooting in the vicinity
of the "Besiana" motel many Albanians were
physically ill-treated. Ahmet Latifi and Hilmi
Ademi from the village of Dobratin and Selman
Mehana from Podujeva were arrested.
ISTOG: Brothers Zenun and Ramiz Sh. Haziraj from
Orrobërda were taken for informative
talks to the police station. Ramiz was interrogated
on his political activity and on the KLA.
MAY 6:
PEJA: Rifat Sadri Shala (30), a chemist from Baran,
was killed in an ambush in the village
of Buqan. His brother, Ismajl Sadri Shala (40),
a professor with the local Gymnasium and
chairman of the LDK sub-branch in Baran was severely
wounded.
VUSHTRRI: 2 buses full of policemen accompanied
by 2 vehicles were stationed in the
police cadet secondary school.
PRIZREN: On May 5, Petrit Gashi (1978) from Vërmica
near Klina, Armend Thaçi (1979)
from Malisheva and Edmond Grabanica, pupils with
the "Luçiano Motroni" Secondary
School were arrested. On being interrogated on
the protests and their activity at school
they were released.
Agim Beqiri (1978) from Grejkoc, Mentor Trolli
(1978) and Shefket Trolli (1976) from
Dragaçina, students of the Pedagogical
High School, were stopped by 4 policemen. They
were taken to the post office and physically
ill-treated. Mentor and Shefket suffered
injuries.
MITROVICA: According to Serb media, which refers
to police sources, during an
exchange of fire in the vicinity of the bus station
in Mitrovica, Milovan Nikoliq (24), a
policeman from Leposaviq, was killed. Policemen,
Darko Ivaz (34) and Jovica Joviq (30)
from Mitrovica were wounded. A civilian, who
was qualified as the attacker was killed, too.
His corpse was found in Rrahman Beka's house
yard.
After the attack, police forces accompanied with
armored cars surrounded the "Tavnik"
quarter. Bajram Fekë Jaha (36), Xhevat Hajdar
Selmani (24), Bahri Ibish Sumiqi (25),
Fidaim Pajazit Hajrizi (26) and Ilir Halit Xhemajli
from the "Tavnik" quarter and Skënder
Ferat Haliti (28) and Hamëz Mursel Hasani
from Shipol were arrested. They were brutally
beaten by the police. Bajram suffered injuries
on his head.
Hasan Salih Deliu (44) and Abaz Salih Deliu (36)
from the "Qendra" quarter were arrested.
Shefqet Idriz Sinani (56) from the "Tavnik" quarter
was physically ill-treated.
Police also arrested Rrahman Beqir Beka (63),
his son Bajram Beka (39) and a guest of
theirs Imer Halit Pllana (64).
The house of Raif Musli Pllana (58) was raided.
Raif was beaten-up in the presence of
family members. His son, Ismet (36), was arrested
and his car was damaged.
Bashkim Vesel Bislimi (26), a paralysed person,
was kept in detention for more than 7
hours.
Police arrested Abaz Sali Deliu (36), Ismet Raif
Pllana (36), Dr. Nuredin Ajet Fazliu (43),
Agim Maliqi from Zhabar i Poshtëm, Izet
Mehmet Ahmetaj (52), principal, Naser Miftar
Rrahmani (38), secretary, and Kadri Abaz Kuqanaj
(39) from the village of Qubrel near
Skënderaj, a teacher with the "1 Maji" Primary
School in Shupkoc as well as Rrahim Qerim
Abazi (41) from Zasella near Mitrovica.
There is no information on the whereabouts of
Arsim Nazmi Ismaili (16), a pupil from the
"Bair" quarter. He left for school and ever since
there is no news on him.
Unidentified persons threw blasting materials
in the house yard of Xhemajl Zejnullah
Kabashi (60) in "Kroi i Vitakut" quarter.
7 policemen searched for Halit Rushit Barani
(47), chairman of the sub-CDHRF in
Mitrovica. His house was raided and the identities
of his family members were checked.
In the village of Shupkoc, 3 policemen stopped
many vehicles. Sylejman Hetem Sylejmani
(43) from Reka, a taxi driver, brothers Behxhet
(22) and Selim Rrahman Begu (20) from
Kaqandoll, living in the "Tavnik" quarter, and
Lutfi Ramadan Aliu (18) from Vushtrria were
severely ill-treated.
Skënder Kadri Hajra (38) from Broboniq was
severely ill-treated at the police check-point
in Shipol.
3 policemen severely ill-treated Blerim Ahmet
Asllani (22), living in the "Bair" quarter. He
was ill-treated under the pretext that he participated
in the protests.
Policemen were stationed on the cross-road in
the vicinity of the green market. Many
passers-by were stopped and beaten-up.
PODUJEVA: 2 armored cars and 2 APCs were stationed
in the vicinity of the school yard
in Livadhia. A police helicopter flew over the
region. Snipers surveyed the terrain to the
West of Podujeva: Dobratin, Bradash, Llapashtica
and Gllamnik.
PRISHTINA: A police helicopter flew over the
village of Prugofc. Armored cars and other
vehicles full of armed policemen paraded through
the "Jablanica" road. They recorded the
terrain.
Artan Ibrahimi (1979), a worker; Edmond Ibrahimi
(1980) and Eldin Prestreshi (1982),
pupils, living in "Emshiri" st. no. 3 and 4 were
physically ill-treated by a policeman named
Dragan.
RAHOVEC: Some 20 policemen accompanied with 2
armored cars and 2 APCs were
stationed on the cross-road near the place called
"Rasa".
Many Albanians were stopped and ill-treated.
Police surveyed the terrain towards the
villages of Drenoc and Senoc. Police seized a
van and paraded through the town.
SUHAREKA: There were large police movements towards
the villages of Duhla, Bllaca
and Bellanica.
Police and military forces were stationed in
the vicinity of the bus station in Gelanca.
Vehicles and passers-by were thoroughly checked.
SHTIME: Some 50 policemen accompanied with an
armored car and 2 APCs stopped in
Carraleva and ill-treated many passers-by.
Policemen, in Qafa e Duhlës, stopped the
"Malësia Reisen" bus. All passengers were told
to get out of the bus and checked. A considerable
amount of goods was seized. Agron
Baftiu, Arben and Agron Salihu, Lulzim Nushi,
Bajram Jakupi, Bekim Qarri and Xhemajl
Tërshani were physically ill-treated.
FERIZAJ: A police squad accompanied with an armored
car and 2 APCs stopped on the
cross-road in the village of Koshare. Policemen
checked the identities of passers-by. Gani
Sallauka from Balaj was physically ill-treated.
He was called a "terrorist". Due to injuries
suffered he presented the medical report.
MALISHEVA: 2 armored cars and 2 APCs paraded
through the center of Malisheva. They
pointed their guns towards passers-by.
2 armored cars were stationed in the yard of
"Hivzi Sylejmani" Primary School in Llazica.
Later on, they headed for Arllat.
Sami Topllana, principal of the "Lasgush Poradeci"
Secondary School in Kijeva, was
beaten-up by the police. He was on his way to
school.
OBILIQ: An armored car and 2 APCs were noticed
in Raskova. On recording the terrain
they headed for Prishtina. 3 armored cars and
1 APC full of policemen headed for
Malisheva.
VITI: Naim Miftari (1967) from Sadovina e Jerlive
was severely ill-treated at the police
check-point in Gërlica. He was told "you
are all members of the KLA".
MAY 7:
RAHOVEC: 2 armored cars and 2 APCs were stationed
in the outskirts of Rahovec.
Selami Zllanoga and Jemin Shala were brutally
ill-treated by the policemen stationed at the
place called "Rasat".
FERIZAJ: 2 armored cars and 1 APC paraded through
the town. Policemen pointed their
guns towards passer-by.
A police convoy headed for the villages of Zaskok,
Gremë, Gaçkë, Baincë and Varosh.
After 2 days it returned to Ferizaj.
Refik Lutfi Zymberi (1975) was arrested under
the pretext that he took photos of the
protests.
VITI: Hysni Ramadan Gashi (1952) from Begraca
was stopped by the police. His identity
was checked and he was physically ill-treated.
Later on, he was released but forced to buy
6 boxes of cigarettes to the policemen.
MALISHEVA: The houses of Shaban Salihu, Isuf
Sahiti, Ahmet Azemi and Hajriz Azemi in
Sadovina e Muhaxherëve were raided. Shaban
was arrested and kept in detention for
more than 2 hours.
Mentor G. Kryeziu (18) and Ibrahim S. Gashi (33)
from the village of Mleçan were
physically ill-treated by police forces stationed
in Llazica. Ibrahim was taking his mother to
a physician in Malisheva.
In Duhla, Hamdi Paçarizi, a student from
the village of Dragobil, was stopped by the police
and physically ill-treated.
Police forces stationed in the vicinity of the
wine cellar in Rahovec, stopped brothers Nuhi
and Avni Morina from the village of Drenoc. The
two were physically ill-treated and
provoked. Avni, a pupil with the "Lasgush Poradeci"
Secondary School in Kijeva, was
returning from the Gjakova hospital, where he
had been operated from the appendix.
Police accused him for allegedly being wounded
in fighting against the police. Avni had a
regularly issued discharge list from the hospital.
MITROVICA: Nexhdet Sadri Haxhia (22) from Rakosh
and Xhevxhet N. Maliqi (20) from
Prekaz i Poshtëm, students with the Mechanical
Engineering High School in Mitrovica;
Safet Salih Imeri (31) from Vojnika and Miftar
Lushtaku (46) from Prekaz i Poshtëm, a
teacher with the "Skënderbeu" Primary School
in Mitrovica were severely ill-treated at the
police check-point in Shipol. They were ill-treated
as they were from the Drenica region.
Sadri Fazli Selmani (20), living in the "Ura
e Gjakut" quarter, was stopped by 3 policemen
in the vicinity of the green market. He was physically
ill-treated.
Naser Ali Hyseni (34) and Man Man Hyseni (33)
from the village of Kaqandoll were
stopped near the "Qendra" tea shop and physically
ill-treated under the pretext that he had
participated in the protests.
Hilmi Abdyl Hyseni (30), living in the "Bair"
quarter, was stopped by the police in the vicinity
of the bus station and was physically ill-treated.
All suffered body injuries.
SHTIME: 30 policemen accompanied with an armored
car and 3 APCs went through the
mass of protestors in Shtime. Police forces stationed
in the villages of Carraleva and
Koshare stopped and provoked people going to
the protests.
PRIZREN: In the outskirts of Prizren, police
stopped the "Birllëku" bus. The identities of
passengers were checked. They were interrogated,
provoked and ill-treated. Among those
ill-treated was Dalip Krasniqi (1968) from Domanik.
His passport was seized.
In the village of Volljaka, Daut Krasniqi (72),
Ahmet Krasniqi (62), Xhemajl Krasniqi (45)
and Sherif Krasniqi (38) from Drenoc were forced
out of a taxi. They had attended the
funeral of Hamit Hoxha in Dushanova. They were
provoked, severely ill-treated and
threatened with the words "we will kill you all".
KAMENICA: A unit of 12 policemen surrounded the
"Busavata" quarter. They fired shots,
stopped and checked passers-by.
HANI I ELEZIT: Avni Muhabi Shtiti (1977) was
sentenced to a prison term of 30 days. He
was immediately sent to serve the sentence as
he did not stop as told by soldiers at the
border cross with Macedonia.
SUHAREKA: Samedin Lezi, a student, was beaten-up
by police forces stationed in Duhla.
Police forces were also stationed in "Biraç"
and in the vineyards near Suhareka and
Shiroka.
PODUJEVA: Police raided the houses of Sokol Rexhepi
and Kamber Ademi in Dobratin
and that of Nexhmi Jashari in Obrança.
Shukrije S. Jashari and Kimete I. Jashari, pupils,
were threatened with automatic guns.
KAÇANIK: Fadil Beqir Rakoci, a teacher
with the "Emin Duraku" Primary School in
Gjurgjidell, and Selman Miftar Luzha, a teacher
with the "Skënderbeu" Secondary School
in Kaçanik, were physically ill-treated
by the police. They were caught carrying seals and
notebooks with the emblem, Republic of Kosova.
PRISHTINA: 2 armored cars and 4 APCs were stationed
in the vicinity of the village of
Truda. Policemen took positions in the surrounding
fields.
MAY 8:
PODUJEVA: A police and military convoy accompanied
with 5 armored cars headed for
Prishtina. A police helicopter flew over the
villages of Llapashtica, Bradash, Gllamnik,
Buricë, Lupç and Batllavë. The
situation in this district continues to be very tense.
MITROVICA: Police raided the house of Sejdi Bislim
Jashari (49) in the "Tavnik" quarter.
His uncle, Isuf Jashari was arrested.
Police entered into the house of Haradin Qazim
Gashi (49) and beat-up his son Florent
(14).
Police arrested Bujar Bahri Haziri (24).
Sabri Bislim Jashari was left a summon to report
to the police station.
Police interrogated Xhemajl Zejnullah Kabashi,
living in "Kroi i Vitakut". He had accused
some Serbian neighbors of his for throwing stones
on his house.
Milazim A. Arsllani, living in "7 Shtatori" st.
no. 715, gave a statement to the Sub-CDHRF in
Mitrovica. Since March 14, his father's house
in "Kroi i Vitakut" was 6 times attacked by
Serb neighbors. He bought the house in 1984 from
a Serb named Steva Gallak.
VITI: Police vehicles were stationed in the outskirts
of Sadovina. A group of 40 policemen
are checking vehicles on the road from Vitia
to Gërlica. Many passers-by are ill-treated.
FERIZAJ: 20 policemen blocked the "Ispahan" tea
shop. 6 were arrested. Among those
arrested is Sali Bytyçi from Mirosalla,
a citizen of Bosnia. He was detained for 3 hours and
beaten-up by the police under the pretext that
he fought against Serbs in Bosnia.
2 APCs and one armored car were stationed in
the village of Koshare.
The number of policemen in the village of Tankosiq
has increased.
SUHAREKA: Besim Kryeziu, Nderim Gashi, Milazim
Gashi, Arsim Llapashtica and Argjend
Voci from Leshan and Tërrnja were physically
ill-treated at the police check-point in Gjinoc.
The very same happened to Arsim S. Zenelaj at
the check-point in Shiroka.
PRISHTINA: Zenel Ramadani (1975), a student of
the Pedagogical High School and his
brother, Fadil Ramadani from Bellopoja were severely
ill-treated at the local police station.
200 Serbian students blocked the entrance to
the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. This
was done in order to prevent Albanian students
from returning to this faculty as agreed by
the 3+3 commission.
RAHOVEC: 2 armed Serbs from Hoça e Madhe,
fired shots towards the house of Hajredin
Cena.
Begzat Vuçitërna was threatened while
returning home.
Serbian policemen in 2 APCs surveyed the terrain
in the outskirts of Rahovec. Many
houses were raided.
MALISHEVA: Police in search of members of the
KLA raided the houses of Xhemajl and
Ramadan Limaj in Banja near Malisheva. Householders
were ill-treated under the pretext
of helping the KLA.
MAY 9:
PODUJEVA: A military convoy comprised of 37 vehicles:
armored cars, APCs and trucks
with heavy weaponry headed for Prishtina.
A police and military convoy accompanied with
5 armored cars paraded through the town
and headed for Prishtina.
PRIZREN: Since April 24, police forces were stationed
in the "Korba-Commerce" private
enterprise in Kramovik, in the ownership of Fetah
Kelmendi (1939) from Dushanova near
Prizren. Eversince this enterprise had to stop
with its activities.
PEJA: Unidentified persons threw a bomb in the
vicinity of the house of the Zajmi family.
No one was injured.
VITI: Police prevented the protest walks in Vitia.
VUSHTRRI: Faik Morina from Okrashtica was physically
ill-treated at the green market in
Mitrovica and in the local police station.
Arben Ukshin Beqiri (16), a pupil, Agim Perquku
(24) from Cecelia, and Musli Bali Musa
(20) from Samadrexha were taken out of the bus
and physically ill-treated. Several
passengers were taken by the police and there
is no information on their whereabouts.
The police commander in the village of Prelluzha
accompanied with 3 policemen,
searched for weapons in the house of Rasim Ramë
Islami, who is currently living in
Germany. His wife was ill-treated and beaten-up
in the presence of family members.
MITROVICA: A convoy comprised of 15 police and
military vehicles headed for the
Dukagjini plain.
Police is preventing the provision of food to
the Drenica region. Police at the check-point in
Shipol stopped 45 tons of flour. The flour was
being sent to Skënderaj and all documents
were in order.
At the police check-point in Shipol, Sheqer Ajet
Ajeti (18) from Klina e Mesme, Ahmet
Mehmet Alloçi (26) and Fahredin Aje Alloçi
(18) from the village of Çubrel were taken out
of the bus and severely ill-treated.
Latif Brahim Jashari (56), living in the "Qendra"
quarter in Mitrovica, was arrested in his
shop.
An armored car was stationed in the outskirts
of Broboniq.
SUHAREKA: At the police check-point in Duhla,
Bekim Lumi, Dafina Bytyçi, Astrit Zekolli
and Fatos Lumi, pupils with the "Jeta e Re" Gymnasium
in Suhareka and Sejdi Oruqi from
the village of Vraniq were physically ill-treated.
Due to injuries suffered they had to seek for
medical help.
FERIZAJ: Selman Bedri Shabani from Gaçka
and Isuf Tahiri from the village of Talinoc
were stopped by the police and physically ill-treated
for participating in protests.
LIPJAN: Police brutally dispersed the peaceful
protests in Lipjan. The following were
physically ill-treated: Burim Misini (1976) from
Rufc i Ri, Feqrie Bajraktari from Bainca,
Mekibe Breznica and Burim Statovci from Dobraja
e Madhe, Shukrije Asllani, a teacher
from Hallaç i Vogël, Ganimete Thaçi
and Mirjeta Fazliu, pupils with the primary school in
Lipjan, Miradije Asllani, a professor with the
secondary school in Lipjan, Ali Asllani from
Hallaç i Vogël, Adnan Hajrullahu
(1982), a pupil, Xhemile Meziu (1978), a pupil from
Vërshec, and Lumturije Hajrullahu (1975),
a pupil from Banulla. They all suffered injuries
and had to seek for medical help.
KAÇANIK: Ramadan Brahim Asllani (1957),
a teacher living in "Ramiz Sadiku" st. no. 52,
was arrested by the police. He was interrogated
and physically ill-treated. He was accused
of allowing the pupils to participate in the
protests. 2 books with poems were seized from
him.
FUSHë KOSOVA: Habib Abdullahu (1967), a
worker from the village of Vranidoll, was
beaten-up by the police in the vicinity of Sibovc.
MAY 10:
PRISHTINA: According to the "Montena Faks" news
agency, on May 7, Bahri Fazliu was
killed in Plava (Montenegro), during fighting
with Yugoslav military forces on the border
with Albania. He was qualified as a member of
the KLA. A Yugoslav soldier was killed, too.
SUHAREKA: A police and military convoy (9 trucks,
2 armored cars and 2 APCs) paraded
through the center of Suhareka.
FERIZAJ: Ilir Murtezi (1978) was arrested by
the police. He was interrogated, provoked,
physically ill-treated and forced to sign a statement.
RAHOVEC: Skënder Sh. Mazreku from Opterusha
was physically ill-treated for allegedly
being a member of the KLA.
DELAYED INFORMATION:
KLINA: On April 10, Ilir Franë Selmanaj (1974),
living in "Boro Vukmiroviq" st. no.2, was
arrested by two plainclothed policemen, named
Goran and Dejan. He was accused of
smuggling weapons for the KLA and was physically
ill-treated. The next day his cousin,
Anton Selmanaj, was arrested. He too, was severely
ill-treated and threatened with
liquidation.
On April 25, police and military forces stationed
in the agricultural airport of the
"Malizhgani" Combine shelled the village of Siqeva.
The houses of Hisen Raci (1955) and
Tahir D. Desku (1928) were damaged.
On April 28, after the protests walks in Klina,
Fatos Avdi Buqani (1981) from Dollova, a
pupil with the "Luigj Gurakuqi" Secondary School
in Klina, was arrested by 4 policemen.
On April 29 and 30, Elizabeta Ndrecaj (1959),
"Velko Vllahoviq" st. no.24, a book seller
and an LDK activist, was ordered by police inspector
Zharko Stojanoviq to report for
informative talks. She was physically ill-treated
and accused as one of the organizers of
the protests in Klina. She was threatened that
if seen again in the protests "police would
break her bones".
On April 30, on the road from Kosuriq to Qallapek,
police arrested Bedri Gashi (1972) from
Bokshiq and his cousin, Nexhat Rizah Lika from
Grabanica. They were sent to the police
station in Çallapek and severely ill-treated
under the pretext of sending medicine to the
wounded Albanians.
On May 2, a squad of 30 policemen intervened
in the "Sag-Drini" enterprise in the
ownership of Sadri Godanci. 50 tons of flour
and of other goods were seized. He was
accused of providing food to the terrorists.
Police also seized a van full of goods estimated
to DM 1.500.
MITROVICA: On April 27, Emrih Isak Krasniqi (27)
from Tërpeza was arrested in
Suhareka. He was interrogated on the KLA and
physically ill-treated.
On May 2, Sefer Sadik Hajzeri (23), living in
the "Tavnik" quarter, was severely ill-treated.
KAMENICA: On April 28, police looted DIN 20.600
and DM 1.600 from Refik Shabani,
owner of the "Agrounion" agricultural enterprise
in Kamenica. All documents concerning
the work of his firm were in complete order.
On May 2, an armed policeman insulted and physically
ill-treated Alban Rexhep Klaiqi from
the village of Koretin.
PRISHTINA: On April 30, Artan Marmullaku (1979)
from Dush and Sulltan Gashi, students,
were arrested in Prishtina. They were kept in
detention until April 31, insulted and
physically ill-treated.
On May 1, police inspector Zoran Vukadinoviq,
stopped Ismail Gërbeshi (1957), a jurist,
and Agim Berisha, former workers of the Ministry
of Interior Affairs. Their ID's were seized
and they were severely beaten-up by a group of
10 Serbian civilians. Due to injuries
suffered they had to seek for medical help.
FERIZAJ: On April 30, Islam Hetemi (52) from
Komogllava was brutally beaten at the
police check-point in Gërlica. He was ill-treated
under the pretext that he is a "terrorist". On
being ill-treated Islam was released.
VITI: On May 1, Faredin Zuka from Smira was physically
ill-treated at the police check-
point in Gërlica.
Qerim Osmani from Drobesh was taken to the police
station in Vitia and was physically ill-
treated under the pretext that he obstructed
traffic.
Hafir Rexhepi (1968) from Ballanca was physically
ill-treated by the police in the outskirts
of Vitia. He was ill-treated as he had no driving
licence.
FUSHë KOSOVA: On May 1, Destan Begaj was
taken for informative talks and was
physically ill-treated. He was threatened to
be summoned again.
OBILIQ: On May 1, Imer Hakif Gubetini from Breznica
was brutally beaten-up at the police
check-point in Nedakoc.
On May 2, the very same happened to Xhevat Behrami.
HANI I ELEZIT: On May 1, Bajrush Topojani (1966)
was arrested at the Hani i Elezit
border cross with Macedonia. He was immediately
sent to serve a prison term of 30 days
in Lipjan. He was arrested due to illegal arm
possession.
In the vicinity of Dimca, Haki Nesim Suma was
physically ill-treated, while pasturing his
cattle. Soldiers threatened to liquidate him
and the other children.
SUHAREKA: On May 1, Beqir Ndrecaj and Azem Bobaj
were arrested by the police in the
village of Mushitisht. The two were taken to
the police stations in Mushitisht and Suhareka
and physically ill-treated.
KAÇANIK: On May 2, Shiqeri Hoxha (1964)
from Doganaj, a teacher and an activist of the
sub-CDHRF in Kaçanik, was stopped by 2
policemen in Prishtina, threatened and insulted
on a national basis.
PODUJEVA: On May 2, police searched for weapons
in the house of Lutfi Muqolli in
Bajqina.
