AUGUST 30:
PEJA: Nexhmedin Elshani
(34) from Ozrim was killed under unknown circumstances. A fellow-villager
of his was severely wounded.
MITROVICA: In order
to provoke Albanians, police dragged an Albanian flag through the streets.
FERIZAJ: Fire was opened
from the Stojkoviq quarter in Balaj on the house of Zymer Isuf Haziri in
Dremjak.
PRIZREN: During the
last two days, Naim Reshitaj (1970), an economist from Suhareka, was arrested
and taken for informative talks.
HANI I ELEZIT: Police
ill-treated the following children: Besnik, Sheki, Avdush and Daut Suma
- from Vinca, while they were grazing their cattle. Soldiers ill-treated
Rauf and Halit Suma.
AUGUST 31:
LIPJAN: Serbian police
and military forces shelled the village of Risinovc. The following were
killed: Fadil (35) and Ganimet Sinani (28) from Risinovc and Hajrije (50)
and Blerim Osmani from Fushtica e Poshtme near Gllogoc. Fatime (60), Lumnije
(23), Ymer (33), Afrim (33) and Mentor Sinani (14), Halil Shurdhiqi (27)
from Risinovc and Fehmi (55), Xhemajl and Musli Meha (14) from Fushtica
e Poshtme were wounded.
GLLOGOC: The corpse
of Hasan Ramë Vilaku (46) from Komoran was found. He was reported
missing since last week. Police opened fire on the car of Azem Sadri Qilari,
while he and his family were on their way home.
GJAKOVA: Serbian forces
surrounded the village of Deva with tanks and heavy weaponry. They raided
and demolished 37 houses. Loud detonations were heard in Goden and the
surrounding villages.
PRIZREN: Two Serb civilians
in a police car threatened and insulted Hysen Istref Taraku (1969) and
Sami Adem Hoti, workers with the "Mlintespek" Enterprise. The investigative
judge with the Serbian Run District Court in Prizren sent the following
Albanians to 30 days pre-trial detention: Atdhe Gani Luzhnica (1977) and
Bajram Hysni Luzhnica (1959) from Luzhnica near Suhareka, Skender Morina
(1978) from Gegja near Rahovec. All were indicted for "terrorism".
MITROVICA: From the check-point in Shipol, police
opened machine gun fire towards Vaganica. Several houses were damaged.
The house of Brahim Jahir Sahiti (60) was set on fire. In Shipol, 4 policemen
arrested and beat Ramadan Xhelal Bislimi (26) from Prekaz i Epërm
and Fehmi Feriz Avdiu (22) from Lubavec near Skënderaj. Police stopped
Shaban Tupella (27) from Kçiç i Madh. He was taken to the
police station and brutally beaten. Ratko Antonijeviq, a policeman, captured
Atdhe Idriz Rexhepi (18), a tobacco vendor living in the "Tavnik" quarter.
10 boxes of cigarettes were seized from him. Atdhe was ordered to report
to the police station.
VITI: A sergeant and 3 Serb soldiers forced Remzi
Brahimi, a taxi driver from Lubishta, to take them to the military barracks
in Letnica. Remzi was threatened with a gun and physically ill- treated.
KAMENICA: An Albanian youngster from Magura near
Lipjan was taken out of the bus and beaten by policeman "Peca" Trajkoviq.
Bora Aleksiq opened fire towards Qamil (48) and Xhavit Shabani (21) from
Shipashnica e Poshtme. In Hodonoc, police provoked and threatened Amir
Tasim Basha (1962).
FERIZAJ: In Nerodima e Epërme, the house
of Arif Nuha was burned. Arif and his family had fled the village due to
security reasons. In the outskirts of Sazlia police physically ill-treated
Sali Ibrahimi (1974).
PRISHTINA: The Serbian regime announced that
300 Albanians, who are in pre-trial detention, will face charges for "hostile
activity".
During the last 3 days, unknown persons threatened
by phone dr. Hakif Bajrami (1943), a historian living in the "Dardania"
quarter.
SEPTEMBER 1:
PRIZREN: Serbian police and military forces shelled
the villages of Hoça e Qytetit, Poslishta, Billusha, Jeshkova, Lubiçeva,
Leskovec, Lez and a part of the "Tusus" quarter. Due to fierce clashes,
many Albanians of the "Hoça Mahalla", "Tusus" and "Bajram Curri"
quarters fled their homes. There are no information on the whereabouts
of the inhabitants of the villages of Vrrin, who are under the iron siege
of the Serbian forces. 7 unidentified corpses were brought to the morgue
of the Prizreni Hospital, who are believed to have participated in the
clashes in the villages of Vrrin. 3 wounded policemen were brought to the
very same hospital. In "Mahalla e Hoçës" quarter, police arrested
Fatmir Bojaxhiu, Binak and Reshat Doçaj.
GLLOGOC: Since August 18, the corpse of Sejfullah
Jetullah Mazhiqi (18) from Abria e Epërme is lying unburied. He was
killed by the Serbian police in Polac. Since yesterday, incessant fire
is opened on the villages of Fushtica e Epërme, Fushtica e Poshtme,
Kishnareka and Nekoc. Fushtica e Poshtme and the "Zogu" quarter in Komoran
are on fire.
SHTIME: Due to the wounds suffered on August
26, Zeqir Asllani (95) died in Ranca.
PEJA: Serbian police, military and paramilitary
forces burned the house of Arif Ademaj in the "Dardania" III quarter. They
are looting, burning and leveling to the ground the vacant Albanian houses
in "Dardania" I-II quarters, Loxha and Raushiq. War planes MIG-21 flew
over Peja and its surroundings and shelled several villages.
MITROVICA: Serbian police arrested Agim Hajrizi,
chairman of the Assembly of the Independent Trade Union of Kosova. His
son Arianit (5) was with him. The pretext of his arrest is unknown. Yesterday,
Serbian police arrested his brother-in-law Bekim Adem Ismajli (29), living
in the "Tavnik" quarter and interrogated him about Agim's activity. In
Shipol, police opened fire towards Migjen and Zejnullah Spahiu from the
village of Kastriot near Skënderaj, sheltered in Shipol. They were
arrested and taken to the police station.
GJILAN: An APC was stationed in front of the
police station in Vitia. A small Albanian flag and a KLA emblem were hung
on its machine guns. The APC left towards Gjilan. Passers-by have claimed
that they had heard terrible cries of those tortured in police custody.
KAMENICA: Sadik Thaçi (1949), secretary
of the LDK in Kamenica, and Milit Thaçi (1955), an LDK activist
in Muçivërca, were taken for informative talks to the Security
Center in Kamenica. During the last few days, the Yugoslav army has been
digging trenches between Kamenica, Bujanoc and Vranje.
FERIZAJ: In front of the "Bolero" cafe, 7 policemen
severely ill- treated Jahir Hajdar Idrizi (24) under the pretext that "he
had shaved his head like terrorists do".
SEPTEMBER 2:
PRIZREN: The attack of the Serbian forces on the
villages of Vrrin continued. The villages of Kushnin, Lez and Jeshkova
are in smoke and fire. 2 unidentified corpses were brought to the morgue
of the Prizreni Hospital. Aziz Morina was arrested in Prizren. Several
Albanian youngsters were arrested in Lez. In the vicinity of the local
hospital, Serbian police severely ill-treated Murat Veli Gashi (1957) from
Prizren.
DEÇAN: The situation of about 60.000 Albanians
displaced from 30 villages of Deçan and Lugu i Baranit near Peja
is very dramatic, especially the situation of more than 10.000 displaced
people, mainly women, children and elderly, who had taken shelter in the
mountains (Bjeshkët e Nemuna) and will have to face the adherent winter.
During the shooting in the village of Prejlep near Deçan, Arsim
Sokol Tolaj (17) was wounded. Kadri Selim Latifaj (21) was reported missing.
During the last few days, 3 newly-born babies died due to the difficult
living conditions among the displaced: Binak Zenuni (3 months) from Kralan,
Kaltrinë Ramë Tolaj (8 months) from Pobërgja and Gëzim
Ademaj (2 months) from Ratish i Poshtëm.
LIPJAN: Fatime Sinani (60) from Risinovc died
due to the wounds suffered. Hysen Bislim Salihu from Fushtica e Poshtme
near Gllogoc, who had taken shelter in Ruvc near Lipjan, died due to the
lack of medical assistance. Today, it was confirmed that due to the lack
of medical assistance, Bujar Hamit Shala (8 months) from Shala near Lipjan
died on August 27, and Getoar Hajdin Shala (3 months) from Shala died on
August 28.
SUHAREKA: A corpse burned beyond recognition
is lying unburied in Studençan. The corpse of Ilir Perteshi was
taken from Duhla and buried in Grejçec by his fellow-villagers.
Whereas, the corpse of Ruzhdi Çatani, killed in Duhla, is still
unburied. The situation of the displaced people in the Pagarusha mountains
is deteriorating due to the lack of food and bad weather. Serbian police
arrested Veli Kryeziu (68) and Destan Bugari (70) from Suhareka. VUSHTRRI:
During the last 2 days, at the railway station in Prilluzha, police arrested
a number of Albanians, mainly workers with the "Kosova" GE, such as: Ahmet
Hasani (34) from Gllavotin, Shefqet Duraku and Shefki Tahiri from Strovc,
Ahmet Murati, an engineer, a teacher with the Technical Secondary School
in Obiliq and Beqir Bilalli from Pasoma.
FERIZAJ: Serbian police searched for weapons
at the house of Ismail Rezani (1938), "Gjerdapi" st. 18 and were interested
in whether he had any "guests". In Slivova, police opened fire towards
the 7- member-family of Ramadan Ademaj from Petrova.
MITROVICA: In the vicinity of the Military Headquarters,
4 policemen beat Tafil Ahmet Strana (23) threatening not to stop until
he told "the whereabouts of the KLA". Police stopped and severely ill-treated
Isuf Xhemajl Aruçi (38), "Ura e Gjakut" quarter, and Sadik Qamil
Beqiri (25) from Bajgora. DM 520 were seized from the latter.
KAÇANIK: 50 policemen raided and demolished
the house of Qamil Hafiz Ilazi (1948), member of the board of the LDK branch
in Kaçanik. The investigative proceedings were initiated against
him on the charges of "hostile activity". His brother Fatmir Ilazi was
tied and physically ill-treated. Nijazi Ilazi, a dentist was arrested.
VITI: Selman Ymeri, secretary of the LDSH branch
in Vitia, was stopped, arrested and tied for a radiator. He was interrogated
on the activities of the LDSH branches.
SHTIME: In Godanc i Poshtëm, police arrested
Basri (32), Zenel (29) and Ridvan Emini (30) and his wife (25). In Muzeqina,
police arrested Kurtish, Nuhi, Brahim and Bedri Kurtishaj; Bilall, Adem
and Hajdin Gashi.
PRISHTINA: Police intervened in the premises
of the "7 Shtatori" Secondary School. Classes were interrupted. Erhan Buçinca
(1977), a student, "Lakrishte" quarter 37/4, was threatened on phone by
unidentified persons.
SEPTEMBER 3:
PRIZREN: The villages of Vrrin were shelled during
the last 2 days. Last night, at 7 p.m., Serbian forces threw bombs from
their MIG war planes. In Lubiçeva, Arlind Kryeziu (5) was killed.
The very same happened to the grandson of Sali Kryeziu. His daughter-in-law
was wounded. Many houses were burned in Lez, Lubiçeva, Jeshkova
and Hoqa e Qytetit. Thousands of villagers were sheltered in town. Police
arrested Agim Vlahna from Dushanova. In the vicinity of the local hospital
in Prizren, police burned the houses of Deli Morina and Tahir Krasniqi.
The very same happened to 3 houses in the "Tusus" quarter.
GJAKOVA: Serbian police and military forces shelled
the villages of Cërmjan, Bec, Kodrali, Zhabel, Kelan and Gërgoc.
Loud detonations were heard from the following villages of Hasi and Anadrini:
Drenoc, Ratkoc, Vranjaka, Çifllaku, Denja, Sopniq and Pataçan.
On being plundered, fire was set to these villages by the Serbian police
and paramilitary forces. In Cërmjan, Benita Gashi-Ismajli (22) was
killed. Her husband Haki Ismajli (24) was severely wounded. Naime Kalimashi
(6) and Mirlinda Avdiu (16) from Kodralia were brought to the Gjakova Hospital.
While fleeing from the village of Kodralia, the following were captured
and beaten by the police: Zenel (29), Hajdin (24), Riza (18), Isa (28),
Agron (14), Arben (20) and Hazir Alija (73); Bekim (17), Naser (25) and
Hazir Kalimashi (75); Ismail (30) and Enver Taraku (15) and Gani (48) and
Selim Çeku (18). Today, it was confirmed that Muhamet Ukë Zenunaj
(1934) from Hereç is in detention in the county jail in Peja and
that investigative proceedings were initiated against him. He had been
reported missing since August 11.
RAHOVEC: Serbian forces shelled Sopniq, Pataçan
and Drenoc. Many houses were burned. The following were arrested: Ali,
Sulltan, Nexhmedin, Fadil and Veli Hajredini; Nazmi, Muharrem and Nysret
Ahmeti; Destan and Xhabir Mustafa as well as Selman, Qamil and Ismail Pajaziti
from Pataçan i Poshtëm. It is supposed that the number of those
detained is much higher.
SUHAREKA: Serbian police and military forces
shelled Studençan, entered the village, looted all valuables from
the vacant houses, loaded them on trucks and carried them to Prizren, and
burned the houses which were not already destroyed. Since August 29, a
corpse burned beyond recognition was left unburied in Studençan.
Two corpses buried in Shiroka on August 26, were identified today and they
are Habib Zogaj and Avni Mazreku. A long police and military convoy paraded
through the center of Suhareka. It was accompanied by Serbian paramilitary
forces. Early in the morning, helicopters flew over the town.
SKëNDERAJ: Serbian police and military forces
shelled the villages of Açareva, Plluzhina, Tica, Buroja, Vojnika
and Kopiliq.
GLLOGOC: 150 tanks from Komoran headed for the
Llapushniku Gorge. Loud detonations were heard between the villages of
Klina and Skënderaj. War planes flew over the Drenica region during
the night.
KLINA: Early in the morning, 7 tanks from Peja
headed for Dellova near Klina and started to shell the villages of Këpuz,
Volljaka and Golan. The villagers, who had not previously abandoned the
village, fled. Due to the shelling of Krelan, Vehbi Ilaz Ahmeti (14) and
a 23-year-old person from Këpuz were wounded. At about 6.30 a.m.,
Serbian forces started the offensive on the villages of Gremnik, Çupeva
e Poshtme, Çupeva e Epërme, Sverka, Llapçeva, Ponorc,
Bubla and Damanek near Malisheva. About 60.000 displaced Albanians were
sheltered in these places. The above mentioned villages were first shelled,
then infantry entered the villages, looted the houses and set fire to them.
It is believed that many were killed and wounded. There were fierce clashes
between the KLA units and Serb forces. Yesterday's information by Serb
media that KLA units attacked the Serbian forces in Gllareva, Drenoc and
Kramovik is not true. The whereabouts of more than 20 persons (mainly elderly),
who never managed to leave the village of Çabiq, are unknown since
August 2. Some eye-witnesses claim that on entering the village Serb infantry
killed some of them and captured the others. The whereabouts of Ukë
(70), Zukë (68), Mujë (59), Shahe (62), Muhamet (52), Isuf (80)
and Musë Gashi (78) are unknown.
MALISHEVA: The local mosque in Ostrozub, was
damaged due to shelling. 3000 villagers fled from their homes.
PEJA: 2 corpses were brought to the morgue of
the Peja Hospital. It is supposed that these are the corpses of Dude (53)
and Mustafë Isuf Lajçi from Shtupeç i Vogël. Both
were killed on August 24, during the Serb attack on the villages of Rugova.
The inhabitants of these villages are under the iron siege of the Serbian
police and military forces.
PRISHTINA: Fejzullah Salih Sogojeva (1941) from
Graboc i Poshtëm near Fushë Kosova died in the Belgrade Hospital.
He was severely wounded on August 18, in his house.
LIPJAN: Shooting along the Sitnica bank and from
Gracka towards Hallaç i Vogël, has become a common phenomenon.
The house windows of Zymer Zekiqi were broken.
PODUJEVA: Serbian police and military forces
were stationed on the road near Tabet e Llapashticës and in the Duriqi
quarter in Obrança. More than 50 military vehicles (30 tanks, 7
anti-aircraft cannons, APCs, trucks) were positioned towards the town and
the villages of Bajgora. They started digging trenches.
KAÇANIK: Serbian police raided the houses
of Berat Selman Luzha (chairman of the Association of Former Political
Prisoners of Kosova), Liman Selman Luzha and Xhevahir Agush Gashi (1964)
in Begraca. They arrested Berat's son Gazmend (1975), Liman's son Arif
(1960) and Xhevahir himself. During the raid, policemen demolished furniture.
MITROVICA: In the "Ura e Gjakut" quarter, Serbian
police beat Mehdi Sherif Ibrahimi (27).
GJILAN: Nevzad Isufi (1963), a professor, vice-chairman
of the Union of Political Subjects, was taken for informative talks.
OBILIQ: Elfetik Hoti, an activist with the "Mother
Theresa" Humanitarian ë Charitable Association in Obiliq, was taken
and kept for 2 hours at the police station.
SEPTEMBER 4:
PRIZREN: Sporadic shooting can be heard from the
villages of Vrrin. Smoke is still drifting upwards from the burned houses
in Leskovec and Lubiçeva. Of the 9 corpses that were brought to
the morgue of the Prizreni Hospital, the following were identified: Xhevat
Ahmet Berisha (36), Alajdin Berisha (1964), Ibrahim Mursel Osmani (19)
and Salajdin Berisha-killed during the recent Serbian offensive on the
villages of Vrrin near Prizren. The whereabouts of Muhamet (1975) and Xhymret
Shemsedini (1977) from Zaplluzha and Sabri Maliqi from Kuklibeg are unknown.
Milazim Ajni Ramadani from Zaplluzha is under arrest at the Security Center
in Prizren. An ultimatum was handed to the villagers of Zhur, Korisha,
Hatmaxhe and Dushanova. In the "Tusus" quarter, police burned the houses
of Ahmet Berisha, Enver Shala, Ridvan Krasniqi and Osman Çenga.
30 citizens, who were arrested in the affected regions, were brought in
a bus and were forced to raise 3 fingers like chetniks do.
GJAKOVA: At the place called Ura e Hekurit, between
the villages of Krelan and Kodrali (Gjakova) and Mrasor and Këpuz
(Klina), Serbian police, military and paramilitary forces have surrounded
more than 300 Albanians, mainly women, children and elderly. Hundreds of
villagers from Nepola and Gllogjan are stuck in the Catholic Church in
Gllogjan near Peja.
RAHOVEC: Serb forces overran the village of Sopnica.
Zenun Hima was captured, forced into his house and fire was set to it.
Many civilians were captured in the villages of Sopnica and Potoçan.
Serb forces have undertaken a fierce offensive and are mainly attacking
the villages that have sheltered the largest numbers of displaced people.
Sopnica, Potoçan and Drenoc were set on fire. The following villages
were surrounded: Kijeva, Çifllak, Kramovik, Ratkoc and Malësi
e Vogël. In a valley in the vicinity of these villages, Serbian police,
military and paramilitary forces surrounded more than 15.000 people, who
were sheltered in the open. Brobotin was shelled and is on fire. Many were
wounded. A 20-year- old woman is in a very bad health condition. It is
supposed that 6- 7 Albanians were killed in Drenoc. The situation is burdened
by the rain and cold weather.
MALISHEVA: Many people from the attacked villages
of Sverka, Llapçeva and Panorc were sheltered in Lubizhda. Besart
Tafaj, a 6- month-old baby from Carraleva, died due to the difficult living
conditions in the open.
KLINA: Serbian forces shelled towards the villages
of Klina and Lugu i Baranit. Serb infantry was stationed in the premises
of the primary school in Sverka. Serb forces started shelling the village
of Panorc near Malisheva. Many displaced people from the affected regions
had sought shelter in this village.
MITROVICA: Serbian police and military forces
shelled the village of Mazhiq and a part of Stantërg. Afrim Jusuf
Koliqi (36), a professor with the Mining Faculty, deputy of the Assembly
of Kosova, was arrested. Mehdi Sherif Bajrami (26), "Ura e Gjakut" quarter,
was beaten by the police. Due to injuries suffered he had to seek for medical
help.
PEJA: According to information from our sub-council
in Peja, 300 houses were burned in the village of Loxha. The very same
happened to 80 houses in Raushiq, 80 in Graboc, 98 in Nepole, 10 in Lubeniq
and 56 in the "Dardania" I-II quarters in Peja. The houses of the following
were burned in Peja: Malë Zheli, Isuf Kelmendi, Sylë, Isuf, Arif,
Rexhë, Halil, Kadri, Sadri, Shaqë and Elez Kastrati; Isuf Sadiku,
Rrahman, Imer and Haki Muriqi; Nezir and Rexhep Krasniqi and Lulzim Beka.
Serb villagers from Gorazhdec burned the houses
of their Albanian neighbours: Sadedin Avdyli, Bajram Lushi, Idriz Hykosmani,
Adem Nimani, Sali, Metë and Smajl Muriqi, Zenel and Avdi Nikçi,
Halil Avdia, Adem Rexhaj, Rexhë Isufi and Amir ?. The cars of Metë,
Arif and Sali Kastrati; Bekë and Ahmet Kelmendi were stolen. The following
were reported as missing: Rasim Daut Krasniqi and Demush Krasniqi from
Tërpeza, Bekim (20) and Luan Mazrekaj (21) from Malisheva, Cyme Rexhë
Shala (87) from Loxha, Nimon Shaban Bajraktari (47), Haki Abaz Ahmetgjekaj
(23) and Bashkim Xhafer Mehmetaj from Rudica near Klina.
KAÇANIK: Some 50 policemen searched and
demolished the house of Behxhet Imishti in Dubrava and that of Ilaz Sahitaj
(1928) in Duraj. Besim Ruzhdi Berisha, a tobacco vendor, was stopped and
physically ill-treated. His house was raided and many boxes of cigarettes
were seized. Besim's father Ruzhdi Berisha was physically ill-treated.
PRISHTINA: Since August 24, Hamdi Hyseni (1956)
from Prapashtica, vice-director of the primary school in Dabishevc, was
reported missing.
SHTIME: Police arrested Fehmi Baftiu, chairman
of the branch of the "Mother Theresa" Humanitarian ë Charitable Association
in Shtime. The very same happened to Bashkim Iballi and Ilmi Hasani, political
activists.
FERIZAJ: Jakup Rexhepi from Kosharja and Ramadan
Driton Reka from Nerodimja e Epërme were arrested by the police. On
August 28, Ilaz Nuhi Dugolli (35) from Lipovica near Magura was arrested.
He was taken to the security center in Ferizaj. Police authorities claim
that Ilaz was released. Yet, he still has not returned home.
SEPTEMBER 5:
DEÇAN: The situation in the district of
Deçan and in Lugu i Baranit is dramatic. The weather conditions
are deteriorating. Between 9-11 p.m., Serbian forces opened artillery fire
towards Jabllanica and Dushkaja.
SKëNDERAJ: During the last 2 days, Serbian
police and military forces continued to shell the villages of Açareva,
Plluzhina and Tica. Hamdi Islam Tahiri (13) was wounded.
GLLOGOC: Serbian forces continue to set fire
to the houses in Fushtica e Poshtme. The school building was burned.
PRIZREN: The corpse of Naip Garip Berisha (25)
from Prizren and the corpses of 4 unidentified Albanians were buried in
Prizren. They were killed during the Serbian offensive on the villages
of Vrrin. On September 1, their corpses were taken to the morgue of the
Prizreni Hospital. A bus full of detainees was taken to the police station
in Prizren.
In the outskirts of Prizren, police opened fire
towards a group of villagers from Lubiqeva, mainly women and children,
who were seeking shelter in the town. Merita Sadri Kryeziu (1988), Lendita
Sadri Kryeziu (1989), Hanife Sulltan Kryeziu (1981) and Sadri Shefki Kryeziu
(1959) from Lubiqeva were wounded. Salih Miftar Morina (1949), "Ulqini"
st., was arrested.
RAHOVEC: In Sopnica, Zeqir Morina (80) was killed
due to shelling. Agron Zeqir Morina (20) was wounded. The following were
arrested: Sahit Fetah Gashi (63), Kadri Riza Gashi (58), Faton Hysen Gashi
(17), Namik Din Gashi (20), Sokol Gani Gashi (22), Aziz Latif Gashi (28),
Qamil Ibrahim Gashi (63), Adem Ibrahim Gashi (63), Skënder Muharrem
Gashi (24), Bekim Hamdi Gashi (22), Sabri Kapllan Thaçi (33) and
Skënder Ibrahim Morina (29) from Sopnica.
GJAKOVA: Serbian police and military forces are
setting fire to the remaining houses in Krelan, Gërgoc, Kodrali, Cërmjan
and the villages of Dushkaja. Haxhi Alia (74) died of injuries suffered
due to police torture. The wounded and ill-treated who had sought shelter
in the forests of Shushica, are in a critical condition.
KAÇANIK: Police raided the houses of Naser
(1961), Avdyl (1949) and Zahir Kuka (1956). In the house of Naser Kuka,
a former political prisoner and chairman of the Sub-CDHRF in Kaçanik,
police demolished furniture. Zahir's son-Valon (1982) was physically ill-
treated.
MITROVICA: Sabri Beka from Kçiq i Madh
and Bajram Sejdiu from Runik near Skënderaj were arrested by the police.
SEPTEMBER 6:
RAHOVEC: In Potoçan i Poshtëm, Shemsije
Sulejmani (50) was killed due to shelling. Her son-Sutki Sadik Sulejmani
(13) was wounded. In a valley between the villages of Sopnica and Potoçan,
Serbian forces captured a large number of civilians. Many were tied and
taken by the police. Police looted all valuables in the villages of Malësi
e Vogël, Ratkoc, Denja, Bratutin, Vranjakë, Sopnica, Potoçan
i Poshtëm, Potoçan i Epërm, Hashpall, Drenoc, Senoc and
Pastasella. Fire was set to the vacant houses. Some 15.000 people, mainly
women, children and elderly are surrounded by the Serbian forces. During
the recent offensive of the Serbian forces on the village of Denja (Rahovec),
the following were killed: on September 4, Arben Sadri Bytyçi (20),
Leonora Sadri Bytyçi (17), Shpresa Ramadan Bytyçi (30), Bahrije
Gazmend Bytyçi (10), Sevdije Smajl Hoti (30) and her son, and Elmaze
Muharrem Bytyçi (7); on September 5, Menkadize Fahredin Bytyçi
(20), Shani Muharrem Hoti (45), the wife of Hamëz Bajraktari (65)
and Ahmet Ali Kabashi (2).
PRIZREN: The following Albanians, who were killed
during the recent attack of the Serbian forces on the village of Lubiçeva,
were buried: Qazim Koniku (86), Agush Koniku (72), Nesim Krasniqi (65),
Mursel Halilaj (63) and Skënder Mehmetaj. Haki Avdi Hoti (70) from
Ratkoc was killed and buried.
The following Albanians, who were wounded during
the Serb attack on this region, were hospitalized in the Prizreni Hospital:
Avdulla Isuf Morina (1964) from Vranjaka, Abedin Qerim Morina (1988) from
Senoc, Rexhep Muharrem Krasniqi (1954) and Bekim Rexhep Krasniqi (1975)
from Kromovik, Manush (1964) and Bedrush Halit Bytyçi (1970), Ekrem
Halim Bytyçi (1985) and Albert Halim Bytyçi (1992) from Denja.
The following wounded
persons are hospitalized in Prishtina: Vesel Selim Morina (1953) from Senoc
and Astrit Sadri Bytyçi (1985) from Denja.
The following people
suffered injuries due to the physical ill-treatment and torture and are
hospitalized in Prizren: Leonard Gani Krasniqi (1980), Adem (1979) and
Eshref Ukë Morina (1971) from Senoc, Shyqri Sali Morina (1959) from
Vranjaka, Agim Sahit Morina (1980) from Ratkoc and Kadri Jemin Mustafa
(1962) from Petkoviq.
The following wounded
people were sheltered in Dushanova near Prizren: Destan Fahredin Bytyçi
(33), Hadi Fahredin Bytyçi (27), Ruzhdi Fahredin Bytyçi (25),
Sulltane Brahim Bytyçi (47), Valbone Destan Bytyçi (9), Naim
Rasim Bytyçi (16), Luan Latif Bytyçi (24) and Fatmir Latif
Bytyçi (17).
The following wounded
people are without any medical assistance: Igballe Latif Bytyçi
(19), Latif Latif Bytyçi (6), Jeton Sadri Bytyçi (15), Mirjeta
Bedrush Bytyçi (2), Arben Rexhep Krasniqi (20), Nexhmedin Murat
Bytyçi (60) and Mersi Misin Bytyçi with his 5-year-old son.
150 Albanians who had
been arrested by the Serbian forces during their offensive on the villages
of Anadrin and Rahovec, were released. They claim that many villages were
burned, many people were wounded and many were arrested.
GJAKOVA: Ali Hazyr Kalimashi
(37) was found dead in Kodrali near Gjakova. The following wounded children
are hospitalized in Gjakova: Nesrije Hoti (5) from Ratkoc and Ismet Hazir
Morina (4) from Vranjaka near Rahovec. Last night, Serbian forces provoked
the citizens in the main street of the town shooting towards them. The
very same beat some citizens in "Mulla Jusufi" quarter.
DEÇAN: Serbian
military and police forces shelled the villages of Dushkaja and Lugu i
Baranit using the "Kaqusha" missiles. Cërmjan, Krelan, Gërdoc,
Dellova, Çeskova and Nepola were leveled to the ground. While leading
a group of 50-60 women, children and elderly, Avdullah Krasniqi (45) from
Këpuz was killed by Serbian forces.
DELAYED INFORMATION:
LIPJAN: During the offensive
of Serbian forces on July 26, the following persons were wounded in Ribar
i Madh: Muhamet Gashi (23), Afrim Abdyli (35) and Azem Vuniqi (21) - all
from Ribar i Madh; on August 25: Selim Korpuzi (53) from Shala near
Lipjan, Shyqeri (56), Nazmi (25), Nexhare (40) and Rinor Qeriqi (3) and
? Korpuzi (10) - all from Krojmir; Habib Vuniqi and ? Vuniqi - from Vërshec;
Hekuran Shaqiri (7), Muhamet Shaqiri (16) and Arlinda Ademi (11) - from
Bregu i Zi. Two policemen and a civilian arrested Muhamet Kurteshi and
beat him for 10 hours to force him to tell "who aids the KLA".
ISTOG: On July 29, during
the offensive on the village of Padalishta, Serbian forces shelled, looted
and burned 6 houses in Ahmetaj quarter, 3 houses in Imeraj quarter and
2 houses in Fetahaj quarter. The wheat fields were burned. The house of
Rexhep Hoti was burned completely. 9 houses were burned and 5 houses were
demolished in Loshaj and Shalaj quarters. Despite of the propaganda for
the return of the displaced people, Serbian police is preventing Albanians
from returning to their homes.
On August 3, Serbian
paramilitaries opened fire towards the houses of Smajl and Hajdar Arifaj
in Cerkolez and broke the all windows. These families were sheltered in
another village. On August 5, Beqir Blakaj, principal of "Fan Stilian Noli"
Primary School in Llukavc and his brother Ibrahim were taken for informative
talks on the activities of the LDK, PPK and CDHRF in Prishtina. On August
7, Serbian police in four vans with KLA emblems paraded through the main
streets of Istog. On August 15, Momo Pantiq, a commander-in-chief, took
Bajram Blakaj, an LDK activist from Vrella, and some other LDK activists
for informative talks. On August 29, after the attack on the Salihaj family
in Shushica e Poshtme and the massacre of 7 members of the same family,
it is believed that Fatime Salihaj was killed. In order to hide their crime,
Serbian forces took her corpse and arrested Faik Salihaj.
FERIZAJ: On August 27,
Bajram Kokollari from Kosina was sentenced to 20 days imprisonment for
purchasing a land from a Serb. On August 28, in downtown Ferizaj, when
Bilall Shala from Guncat near Malisheva was arrested, police arrested Rexhep
Muhaxheri, a teacher and an LDK activist in Dremjak. The following people
were reported missing in Semaja: Izet Hasani (1956), father of 4, and Sahit
Hasani (1952), father of 5.
OBILIQ: On August 27,
in Palaj, unknown persons burned the house of Ibrahim Ballaku. Police raided
the houses of Milaim Krasniqi and Habib Preniqi.
PRISHTINA: On August
27, police stopped, threatened and severely ill-treated Gani and Habit
Hoxha from Podujeva. On September 1, Bedri Qazim Mehmeti (20) from Halabak
near Podujeva was stopped and ill-treated by the police.
GJILAN: On August 29,
Naim Hasani (1957), "Abdullah Presheva" st., a pensioner and a member of
the Union of Political Subjects was summoned for informative talks.
